Culture Club "La Vatra Satului"
(Village Hearth)

Since 1996, the library has organized the Cultural Club “Village Hearth”. The goal of the club is to collect and promote authentic foclore, to continue the traditions of the village and to promote traditional writings and to encourage young talent. January 2003, the meeting was dedicated to commemorating the national poet Mihai Eminescu. Many professors, parents and children participated. And each came to the meeting with Eminescu with his favorite Eminescu piece; the seventh grade class presented a skit and others recited poetry and verses of Eminescu’s. Several professors read their own poems, inspired by the work of Eminescu. The meeting ended with a playing of the song “Eminescu”, sung by a local couple.
